Developing Your Assertiveness

Outline

Being assertive when dealing with colleagues, suppliers or other industry contacts and, most importantly, with senior executives, doesn’t come easy to many EAs and PAs.

But being assertive doesn’t mean you always get your own way, nor does it mean you have learnt how to speak your mind without fear of impunity. Being assertive is about ensuring that at all times you have the interpersonal and relationship skills and confidence to ensure that your viewpoint or opinion is at least heard and understood.

Importantly, once you develop assertiveness skills, you will discover that naturally the relationships you develop with others around you are more open, honest and consequently more two sided and mutually beneficial.

This course builds the skills and techniques to ensure you achieve the outcomes you want in a wide range of challenging situations.

Who should attend?

The course is for ALL Executive and Personal Assistants who wish to improve their personal effectiveness by learning and applying the techniques to develop a more confident approach in all situations.  If you are looking to progress within your existing or any other organisation and need to develop the skills that will get you noticed and your viewpoints understood, then this is a must attend course.
