Four Staged Approach

1. Establishing objectives

This stage in the process involves a one-on-one session between the individual and coaching champion to identify the “ Coaching Outcomes” in the following areas: Skills & Performance Development, Business Issues Management and Career Planning.

2. Situational analysis

Use of interviews/ research and diagnostic tools relative to agreed outcomes identified in the establishing objectives phase. Diagnostic tools would be selected from our extensive inventory of on line tools, some examples are:

  • Communication Effectiveness
  • Conflict Style
  • Decision-Making Style Profile
  • Emotional Intelligence Style Profile
  • Learning Style
  • Leadership Effectiveness
  • Management Effectiveness
  • Personal Effectiveness 180 Feedback
  • Problem Solving Self Feedback
  • Psychological Type Indicator
  • Risk Style Profile
  • Situational Leader
  • Teambuilding Effectiveness

3. Development of coaching plan

It is here that we prioritise the objectives by developing a comprehensive coaching plan.  Base line measurements are agreed upon to ensure that the outcomes of the plan can be truly assessed.  It is essential that the coaching plan be aligned to individual and organisational goals in order to be effective.  Another aspect of this stage is a “go forward” action plan.  The identification of short-term actions (first 60 days), medium-term actions (60-120 days) and long-term actions (120+ days) are essential to the success of our coaching holistic approach.

4. Implementation of Coaching Plan

Once the plan is agreed upon, it is implemented and put into action.  In order to ensure that the coaching program is effective regular review of the action plan is conducted through face to face/ telephone email communication.  Further monthly and weekly action plans may be developed to supplement the original plan to ensure that the objectives of the program are achieved.  This also includes the identification of other stakeholders who may need to be involved and also identification of relevant articles, recommended reading and seminars to enhance one’s knowledge on certain areas.
