Mastering Communication Skills

Outline

With this program, you use a variety of tools and techniques to develop an understanding of group dynamics and improve your communication skills.

To say that the ability to communicate effectively is the single most important skill for those in a senior business support role may not be too great an exaggeration.

The EA or PA is often the conduit who ensures the manifestation of the desires, dreams and expressed objectives of their executive, which means that EAs and PAs must not only be adept at reading and fully understanding the overt or at times subtle or even subconscious messages from their boss but they then be able to effectively communicate these to others, including junior colleagues, other executives, clients and even suppliers.

But EAs must also be as adept at filtering up as they are filtering down, which means they must also have the skills to understand the different in those business dynamics and can adjust their communication styles accordingly.

At this level in business there is no room for those who misinterpret communication, but more importantly there is no room for those who can’t effectively communicate with all those around them.
