Project Management Certificate IV
Managers and project team leaders will learn the critical techniques required to plan and organise projects successfully.
Factors that impact on project productivity - such as selection, organisation and monitoring of human, physical and information resources are also explored.
Who should attend
Designed for those with experience in project management: project team managers, project leaders or experienced project team members who already understand the fundamentals of project management. This course has a learning development pathway towards the Diploma of Project Management.
Overview
The program provides an overview of the nine knowledge areas of project management and relates them in
practical ways to the field of project management.

- Alignment and selection of projects to organisational strategy
- Key knowledge areas of project management
- Client and stakeholder management
- The people skills of project management - communication, leadership and negotiation
- The four phases of the project - initiation, development, implementation and finalisation.
Learning Outcomes
- Assess the organisational context for the project and apply project management principles to workplace
initiatives
- Develop a project strategy which will lead to an effective overall project plan
- Build a suitable project structure and team
- Manage the relationships with all stakeholders in the project
- Develop techniques for monitoring, controlling and reporting project progress
- Successfully deliver a completed project and evaluate project outcomes.
Assessment
To use this course towards a nationally recognised qualification, participants are required to complete an
assessment task.
Duration
This is a 4 day program + assessment tasks.
Our workshop format is ‘small group' based to maximise the learning experience and interactivity for
participants.
