Strategic Business Planning - What EAs Must Know
Outline
This highly practical and interactive program will provide participants with a clear framework for how a successful strategic plan and business plan should be developed and tailored to the specific needs of an organisation or business unit.
The program examines the key strategic business areas that a successful plan must consider, including core values, purpose, and mission statements. In addition, participants will gain insights into competitive strategies, value chains and life cycles, and come away from the program with a greater facility to understand how their organisations really work.
Who Should Attend
This course is designed for EA's and PA's at all levels, irrespective of whether they are already involved with their company's or department's strategic business planning process or just want to become more involved. It is essential that EAs are able to think strategically and know how strategic plans and business plans are developed so they can understand how their business operates and how their executives arrive at the decisions they do. It is also essential that they know and understand the objectives and goals of all business plans if they are to support their executives in communicating these effectively with staff and ensure that all plans are successfully implemented.

By the end of this intensive and interactive course you will be able to:
- Conduct an environmental (internal and external) analysis of a business
- Articulate the aims, objectives and key aspects of a strategic plan and a business plan, which takes account of the organisational vision and mission
- Develop a strategic plan and a business plan based on the strategic plan
- Implement the strategic and business plans
- Monitor the success of the strategic and business plans and respond to performance
